I am Independent Multi-Pure Distributor #423380, Phyllis Wheeler--a homeschooling veteran and mother of four kids, two with Asperger's Syndrome. I am also a licensed mechanical engineer.

Choose a countertop model if

  • You have a conventional kitchen faucet that is not a combined faucet/shower tool
  • You want a portable solution you can install yourself
  • You want the least-expensive option

Stainless-steel models draw water from a diverter valve on the sink faucet, and push it out the spout at the top of the filter.

The plastic model MPAD uses plastic tubing to return the filtered water to the faucet outlet.

Choose an under-sink model (with dedicated small faucet) if

  • You have a faucet/shower tool at the kitchen sink
  • You want a built-in solution (which could be modified for use as a counter-top model at a later date)
